Coddi snack

Because of the men’s activity, different species of the sea were transported and modified. Now, there are loads invading harbors and coasts, killing other species, and destroying infrastructures.
The aim of the workshop in l’Ecole de Design Nantes-Atlantique was to analyse an edible invasive variety of the sea, and find a way to use it to re-establish the balance of nature in the invaded place. That why with Noëllie PerrussetJuliette Mourrieras Camille Simoneau and Marjolaine Perraud we create Coddi a product made with invading seaweed.
Codium Fragile Algae contains lots of good nutritional values (proteins – amino acids – trace element – antioxidants – vitamin A) and has an interesting taste. That’s why we decided to develop a new pack of cheese sticks to toast in a pan, enriched with pieces of codium.
